Title: email login problem

hi friends

i am new to linux.
i have  a red hat linux 9.0 installed on my client pc.
i am connected to lan with fedora core server whhich has squid configured.

but my problem is that while working on client pc i cannot login in my yahoo and hotmail email accounts. but i can login in my rediff account. and can surf any other website. but  login.yahoo.com doesn't open.

anybody can help me plz.

do other client to that server are normal in surfing ?

Ya This is a common problem in squid..........

What are u using Transparent proxy?
Or may be someone has blocked port through  iptables ...

ya other clients are normal in surfing but logging in the yahoo mail accounts and hotmail accounts from linux clients are not functioning. but they are normal from windows clients.

can you help me further in that matter

basically its problem of browser, try the latest firefox and make sure they are set to use proxy.
