HELO I M NEW TO THIS GROUP AND ALSO NEW TO THE FIELD OF COMPUTER I HAVE A PROJECT ABOUT PROXY SERVER
I MEAN I HAVE TO CONFIGURE A PROXY SERVER
I DONT KNOW ANY THING ABOUT THAT.PLS TELL ME FROM WHERE I SHOULD START AND WHT I NEED FOR MY PROJECT
WHT I HAVE TO DO FIRST OF ALL THEN NEXT AND SO ON..........

it depents on the sitution
i mean on which plateform u want to comfigure the proxy
which proxy u want to configure
so if u want to configure a procy on linux platform then u are at right place .
u may get a  number of tutorial on linux proxy in the following two section of this forum

1-     Linux Tutorials & How To's
2-       Linux Proxy Server Support


u just need to search a little bit and u will get to the point information on this topic.
u may install squid and a very good tutorial are there in the above section about it
