hi linux superiors,
                   
              i have a problem with creating a user account. when i tried to create a user it shows unable to lock passwd file.

            can  u pls tell me what can i do for this.

Hi

Me and Ricky have earlier discussion on this topic also but i m not able to reacall that what we did to remove that error.........,, We will try and let u know..........

hi

now the problem has cured. actually the problem with the permission for that passwd file. By mistaken i have applied 550 for that file. Now its working fine. Thankx ricky & gaurav.
