Hi there
I am trying to configure bind9 on a redhat box and this is the error message that I receive
configure: error:
ar program not found. Please fix your PATH to include the directory in
which ar resides, or set AR in the environment with the full path to ar.
Any help will be appreciated.
here is my path:
/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/bin/X11:/usr/X11R6/bin:/root/bin

Do you found that error when trying to run BIND ? Have you installed bind from source ? May be you have installed in totally different directory. Then you have to include that directory also !
