Sendmail pop3 access problem and apache webserver

Hi,
i was wondering if anyone could give me a lead on how to set virtual hosts on my apache web server, cos whenever i add them i end up with   access forbidden error 403.
one other thing: i've set up my send mail config files as indicated "regular configuration" but im having a problem with pop3 server :couldn't access pop server

Your server configured properly
may be that file is not on server so it gives error
 try once again by putting some webpages and view it through browser
