Please assist me if possible,

I have a linux server acting as a RAS for my HOD's and two dial-in clients, the system is running, and running well - but I am always keen on improvement, firstly, I would like to see who has dialled in, now when I run "who", or "w" respectively it tells me that I have appp connected which is all fine and dandy, but I would like to see, who dialled in and activated appp, and then secondly, I would actually like the IP Addresses and gateway features to be set-up by DHCPD, and supplied to the clients, and not have them statically programmed into the systems, or going to the client machine's and coding the IP's manually, in essance, I would like to have the luxery of seeing who's dialled into my server, and have an IP Address assigned to them from a pool dynamically. If you could assist me I would be exceptionally gratefull.

Thanks
