Modem Driver

I installed RH 9 and it won't recognize my modem. I have an AC 97 modem which is installed on an IBM Thinkpad G40. I need a driver for the modem and I am having a heck of a time finding one. Anyone have any ideas?

first find out if your modem is hcf or hsf.
Then we will look around installation. BTW installation is a long procedure.
To check out your modem type go to.. http://www.linuxant.com/company/
