problem with a hacker

hi every one
i know that this is a linux form but plz read it properly
and try to help me out

some one who names hiself as a ethical hacker is hacking my friends yahoo meaenger when i he chating from windows
and he is sending back the meseges to me what i am typing to my friend
and when i asked how he did it he said the following

ketan_n2006: try linux + GTK3 thats the hint i can give u.
read a lotta networkin books and u will be a hacker too.
takes some 1and 1/2 years for me to be a medium user.

could any one please help me out about this pplease
