Mandrake 9.2 (FiveStar) + SBLive! 5.2 soundcard = no sound

Hi, i recently installed Mandrake and after alot of tinkering i got my Radeon card up and running, but now i got a problem with my SoundBlaster Live! 5.2 soundcard, it simply wont play any sound.
I tried every single driver in the mcc, and none of them worked, besides the snd-emu10k (something like that) but it only gives out static!
I disabled the onboard PC speakers and the secondary integrated soundcard that runs them.

Anybody got a solution?

Have just put in a sound card and it only worked when I changed the slot it was in. Second time this has happened. So it might help to put yours in a different slot.

Vis the correct module: Perhaps look at the card, especially what is printed on the biggest chip, and Google this. Go to the sound HOWTO and look at the table of supported cards.

Does the static with one thing suggest it was working but had a bad connection?? Then change slot??
