We have a squid proxy server which we had to disable caching because of hardware recourses. When opening WebPages using proxy a page that loads in 2 seconds when bypassing proxy will use up 120 second using the proxy. Every object on a page pauses for 2 seconds before it starts downloading, but when it starts the speed is normal. If we do any speed test the server transfers data around 20Mb/s, but when a page contains hundreds of objects it takes forever to load.
This made me suspect a dns lookup delay but doing a nslookup on the server is without delay, any tips where to start troubleshooting?
