installing ubuntu on the netra x1 cd-rom and harddrive

Installing ubuntu on the Netra x1 (Sun MicroSystem)
This is a standard box with all factory parts.

CD-ROM and HARD DRIVE are not found by the installer,
BUT ARE FOUND in the console before I boot off the cd-rom.
Ill first set the cdrom to boot with the command " setenv boot-device cdrom " From the console

ok so the system booted off the CD-ROM thats connected to the second IDE cable thats in the box, now im going to start the installer.

So My Problem is that it wont see the Drive, if you select "RESCUE"
From the Bot option step if will run you with the same steps and you get to a menu that asks you to select a " CD-ROM DRIVER "

To Fix This I used an External CD-ROM drive but when it cane to actually installing the base software SLIO does not find the 
Hard Drive that is connected to IDE@0 and should be /dev/hda

Im Going to try and use both a USB Device for the HDD and CD-ROM and see if when I connect it up via IDE it works..

Does ANYONE KNOW THE SETTINGS OR THE RIGHT WAY TO INSTALL " Ubuntu "
ON A Sun Netra X1 (UltraSPARC-IIe 500MHz), No Keyboard
OpenBoot 4.0, 128 MB memory installed.

THIS SYSTEM HAS NO HARDWARE ISSUES, BOX WORKS JUST FINE WITH MANNY OTHER OPERATING SYSTEMS.
