SMTP proxy / stream filter
« on: May 13, 2004, 07:48:52 AM »
Hi,

I am running a Mandrake 10.0 server and have a few Windows workstations connected to it.
All Windows clients fetch their mail from an ISP. I.e. I have no mail server running on the Linux server.

My problem is that I want to enable a spam/virus filter at the server. Whenever a user at a Windows workstation downloads new mail (POP3) I want the Linux server to automatically filter the SMTP stream through a spam/virus deamon.

The solutions I have found are either proxys to a local mail server, or solutions that must be triggered from a Linux MTA.

I will be very happy if anyone have a solution to this problem... In the first case I want a freeware/open source solution, but if it is impossible a commercial solution will do.

Regards,
Mr Whisp
