I have a Red Hat Linux 9 with Windows 98 SE. When I last tried to shutdown my system through linux I got an error message can't write to
/bin/cat no space. Now when I try to boot the system through Linux I
just can't and I get the samw error message. Please help!

Try this to see if this also invoke the error:
1. In the command line type : "poweroff"
