Looking for VMware alternative

Is there any free software that do the exact things just like VMware...i want to emulate the whole Linux os to be run under windows platform.....thanks :)

i have buyed the esx 3.1 version, final cd + final licence f

i have buyed the esx 3.1 version, final cd + final licence for 2 processors = 4000 $.
 
i want to exchange my vmware esx 3.1 against a vmware gsx 3.1, guest OS on windows, server  final version + final licence of course.

reason = esx is under linux and i prefer windows for the guest OS. the iso cd makes 450 mo.

this will not be for commercial use, just personal.

please contact me rapidely.
