How i can start mysql server with PHP in linux to client

hi,
 
     Can anybody tell me that how i can start and configure mysql server with PHP in Linux to share mysql server to windows base client. On windows client already running apache(1.3) and php(4.3.7) from Linux by calling it's IP address in browser(clinet's) but mysql server is not running so what packages to install in linux for mysql and what configuration do u required.

PHP-MySQL module should be installed.

For mySQl, u should the root@ip_address to the sql server with privileges  on what table u want.
