When i put the dns entries in /etc/resolv.conf for browsing,my local pop mail not working.why it could be??...............

hi stephen
which mailserver u are using?
check r ipop server is on?
try this to check the pop conf
telnet 0 110
or check whether ur server is listening on its port i.e. 110
nmap -p 110 localhost
hope this will help u. send more details

thanks for the reply.But i am sorry, i am not in station for 15 days.I have solved the problem by uninstalling imap and reinstalled it.This will help you also.
