tnx for the quick response..actually i tried to install RH 8 from Bible Cd.
the first step was choosing interface.i chose graphical one. then language and keyboard, till now everything was fine but at INSTALLATION METHOD step the step is "WHAT TYPE OF MEDIA CONTAINS THE PACKAGE TO BE INSTALLED?" ofcourse i choose Local CDROM, then it asked for CDROM type, only one option was given, "SCSI" i clicked OK and another dialog appeard named DEVICES, where some Drivers are listed and none of them is working with my CDROM. this is the last point of my installation. from here i cudnt move a step
i hope you understood my problem. i think i need to provide driver seprately. well i m really novice to linux. Thanks for spending your precious time.
