missing inetd
« on: January 19, 2004, 04:18:32 PM »
I am a linux newbie and learning how to secure linux. I have installed linux 9.0 on my system and when I issue the command vi /etc/inetd.conf the file is empty and when I also issued the command ls /etc/ I could not find inetd.conf file also when I tried to check the status of this service by issuing the command /etc/rc.d/init.d/inetd status it says no such file or directory.
how do I activate or install the /etc/inetd.conf file?[/url]
