packet loss

hi frndz
 When i give ping google.co.in
 or ping rediffmail.com or ping to any site I get the 20%,33% like packet loss
 So what can i do  :roll: ?
 Is there any problem in my LAN or is their any problem in my ISP which provide me the netconnection
 If problem in LAN how to invoke ?
 If problem in ISP how to invoke  :?:  

 Send me hint or solution ASAp

Hi
first of all tell , from which computer  u r trying to ping , means u trying to ping the google or other site from server (means the comp which has public ip) or from the clients......?

Mostly this is a pb of your Isp..., U have to call customer care regarding this problem...

 please tell me when my internal network not working properly how can i detect it
 is it right to use ethereal tools for that or send me some suggestion for that

Actually I have used many security tools ,ethreal is one of them


Ethreal is very good network analizer/Packet sniffer.., So u can detect the Network Performance..., But ethreal  works  better if u have  a HUB in your company or organisation ................, its not suited for Switch
