Hi all,
Earlier my system was running fine with FC1 and a KDE desktop. Due to a power failure I had to hard boot the system and since then I have no sound. The following are sjome info for you to debug the problem----

well.. so you r not able year sound anymore.

Try to disable on board sound from bios then boot, remove all configuration when asked by kudzu then again enable sound from bios then again configure when asked by kudzu. may be it can help

I 'll give it a shot. Being a newbie plz tell me how to disable the sound from BIOS.

Well.. when you boot your computer simply keep hitting "DEL" button, it will lead to your bios. Explore that for a while without making any changes and then find your audio device setup.

It will took you for a while to understand that.

Ok I did that my BIOS setup had an option to disable BIOS, which I did. then I booted FC 1. As expected kudzu asked whether I wanted to remove the audio configuration. I opted to remove it, then on the second boot after enabling the audio kudzu again asked for configuring the audio, I opted in the affirmative. The sad part is still there is no sound in the system. What next can be done ?? any suggestions would be very much welcome
