Logitech Trackman Marble Mouse

Has anyone managed to get this mouse to function in Ubuntu 9.10

I like the trackball mouse. it suits my style of working but have been unable to get the scrolling function to work.

I've trawled Google and a number of forums without finding a solution that works.

I have a dual boot box with Vista and though it took some effort the tracjball mouse works in that partition.

Of course Logitech is no help, in future I'll do some research before I buy.
