Cant find mail

Hi all
I recently configured postfix server and fetchmail to retrieve my mail from a remote mail server(which was succesfull). I tried to implement spamassassin and now i cant find my mail. When i type in the command fetchmail, it tells that the mail has been retrieved but there's no mail int the /var/mail/user where it's usually stored.
I have no clue as to where it could be
