Change the Proxy server Pass word.

HI, This is Monoar. I have a proxy server. I want to change this server password. But I did not know the system to change the server password.
My system administrator hand over the user name and password but did not show the way of change the pass.

Please help me to know the way of change the password of my server.

passwd username
then it will ask for new passwordk enter the password and hit enter it will again ask for password for confarmation.
