Trouble installing hayes Accura 336 Voice modem

Hi, i m ashutosh srivastava from india. Tonight i installed pcq linux 2004 on my pc, and was looking forward to browse internet through linux. But, my linux doesnt see my modem( external btw), it is not installed, i have got an internal modem also but it is also not installed. somebody please help me about how to setup the external modem, ie That Hayes Accura 336 voice modem, or for that matter my internal modem. any-one modem installed will do. Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
