my squid server is not working, it keeps telling me
FATAL: visible hostname not set
please how can i solve this problem

Inside your squid.conf file you need to set the 'visible_hostname' option.If your hostname is 'squidbox' then.
visible_hostname squidbox
Remember not toleave a 'space' before the begining of line .
if the problem persists,run squid in debug mode and post the errors you get here.
$ squid -d 4
