Knoppix looks cool but what good is if if you cannot get on the internet with it. I have experimented with linux and they are all cool until you attempt to get on line. Windows is all pnp which is still the reason it stands above linux. It is almost like you tell a friend "here is a really cool looking operating system on cd but good luck getting on the net. :roll:

This is problem only with Internal MODEMs !!
I too face problem with them and reason is simple.. to make driver for internal modem you need many internal info at that driver. But the companies do not disclose them so we don't have many drivers out there. !
Apart of internatl modem its so easy to get online .
