Spam emails filter and blocker on a Linux box

Plz, I have a Linux-box - (Gateway),on my network. I want to setup an email spam filtering and blocker on this linux box,cause of alot of emails are been sent from this particular LAN.
 Please i need some helpful tips about this.!!!! :roll:

Is this linux box acting as your email server, or simply a gateway between your LAN and the internet?

If it is your email server, then checkout Spamassassin at:

http://www.spamassassin.org

If the problem is spam originating from within your LAN and going out to the internet, then that should be resolved by cleaning up and securing the PCs on your LAN.
