Hi,

I tried installing but it said "Package already installed" so I guess it is already there in the system. Could you please guide me thru on how to use that software?

THanks,

Neil

Ya

Its very easy
Just type   the below command at command line... GUI terminal
#ethereal &

After that a window is opened(i.e ethereal window)

just go to capture->start

After that it will work

Hi

Ok tell , me what it gives (output) when u execute
#ethereal
command on the GUI console?????

If it gives command not found , then it means that Ethereal is not installed sucessfully

Acc to me , for ethereal u have 2 install 2 packages, i dont rem these 2 packages name but u have 2 install these

First  search in CD's & install ethereal packages , if the output of ethereal command is    (Command not found)

So bye for now
Cheers
Gaurav
