System hangs on pluggin any USB DEVICE

Hi!
I have red hat linux 9.

My system crashes as soon as I plug in any of USB device(flash drive,printer,mp3,phone etc). If i try to plug in before startup then it doesnt start at all.


Please help me out.

For configuring USB devices sometimes, I refer to this -->
linux-usb.org/USB-guide/c122.html
That is little extra in details but instead of following it you should first try to understand that how it works in LINUX and then I am sure you will get it working !

I understood the things.But i wanna know why am i experiencing the problem. Everything is fine, i think problem is with my hardware. well that i can not figure out. I need your help into that.
