GPRS via PPP on Wavecom Fastrack M1203A GSM Modem
« on: January 20, 2006, 06:52:19 AM »
Hello Friends,

Lately i have been playing around with the Wavecome Fastrack M1203A GSM Modem. I tried to GPRS via PPP using the modem mentioned.

Managed to make it work on RedHat 9 using KPPP. But i'm not satisfied. Im  hoping to find out the configurations looked like.

1. Anybody knows where does KPPP saves the configuration files/settings on the filesystem?

2. Anyone have a sample PPP sample scripts for dialing up?

Well, i did use some references like the link below, but i'm afraid that's for Mobile Phones oni.

Sorry Ricky, it's a Telecommunication question :P

sorry, i got it working.

I was trying to configure a GSM Fastrack Modem (M1203A) connect to GPRS via PPP protocol on linux.

This modem, i will need to install my PHONE SIM CARD to that modem in order to work.

Thank u very much for the reply :)

What i did was to write a PPP script to talk to my modem (via AT commands).

Cool stuff.
