« on: February 18, 2004, 10:00:06 AM »
hi guys
im using fedora linux
i had installed mplayer. It is giving 2 problems:
1) how to configure samba in it so that i can play movies from the lan.
2) it is also not compiling and giving this error :

demuxer.c:753: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
demuxer.c:753: error: for each function it appears in.)
demuxer.c:1228: error: duplicate case value
demuxer.c:1210: error: previously used here
make[1]: *** [demuxer.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/rohit/Downloads/mplayer/MPlayer-1.0pre3/libmpdemux'
make: *** [libmpdemux/libmpdemux.a] Error 2

any suggestions
Thank you! in advance.

Dragoncity i think what player is talking is about mplayer (the movie player for linux) and the samba sharing that he is talking about is how to play movies from other persons computer without copying it on own hdd.

Thanks neo. Now i'm a bit clearer.
Why not use Xine instead?

If it's normal file sharing in samba? Should refer to:
