While booting Linux it takes ages for 'enabling swap space'
I have allocated swap space twice that of the RAM.
Is there a way to fix it? What should I do to avoid this in the future
installs? pls
Cheers

Was it working fine before?
Try to stop the unwanted services at boot time ( which is not needed) like sendmail, squid etc
If it doesn't work then It might be problem with your current kernel Try to upgrade to stable kernel and see if it helps.
