I have linux on my netbook, but when i put dvds and videos on my usb flash stick , i get no sound. The films are ok can you help me with problem, Thank Bruce.....

1. Most of the time, volume control are turn to minimal. I'll usually poke around there first to adjust the volumes.
2. If it doesn't work or greyed out. It's a good to look through the /var/log/messages and /var/log/dmesg for hints to see if it Linux detects sound.
