Hey all,
I am using fedora13 on my dell vostro 3400 series laptop. It has inbuilt Nvidia getforce 310M graphics card. I installed the nvidia graphics driver by following two steps:
Selinux is disabled.
Step: 1
a.)update kernel
reboot
b.) blacklist noveau kernel from /etc/modprob.d/blacklist.conf & /boot/grub/grub.coonf
c.) append vmalloc=128MB in kernel parameter line in grub.conf
d.)changed the runlevel to 3
c.) downloaded appropriate driver from nvidia site and installed it in runlevel 3
But when i reboot my system and start my xserver it gives a black screen only...............
So i formatted the system and again install graphics driver by following method
a.)update kernel
reboot
b.) blacklist noveau kernel from /etc/modprob.d/blacklist.conf & /boot/grub/grub.coonf
c.) append vmalloc=128MB in kernel parameter line in grub.conf
d.) yum -y install kmod-nvidia
reboot
but again m facing the same problem.......................... Please help me out in this
