how to configure a broadband connection in linux

hi everyone, i can not configure my broadband internet connection in linux zorin 6. recently i have changed my network adapter also and in windows os i can install it but can't in linux zorin6. so any one can tell me step by step on how to configure a broadband internet connection in linux zorin6 cause i am new in this os.
